The Veterinary Technician program at Stellar Career College is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed as valuable members of a veterinary medical team. This program offers a comprehensive curriculum covering a wide range of topics, from animal anatomy and physiology to surgical assisting and radiology. Students gain hands-on experience through simulated lab activities, clinical rotations, and externships, enabling them to practice essential technical skills under the supervision of experienced professionals. The program emphasizes practical application and is tailored to meet the demands of the modern veterinary practice. Students will become proficient in assisting veterinarians in medical and surgical procedures, performing laboratory tests, administering medications, taking radiographs, and educating clients on animal care. Typically, the program lasts around two years. Upon graduation and successful completion of the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE), graduates are eligible to become Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) and pursue fulfilling careers in veterinary clinics, animal hospitals, specialty practices, research facilities, zoos, and animal shelters.
