Wilson College’s Veterinary Technician program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel as vital members of the veterinary healthcare team. This comprehensive program, typically lasting two years for an Associate of Science degree or four years for a Bachelor of Science degree (depending on the program offered at Wilson), equips students with expertise in animal anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, surgical assisting, radiology, and laboratory procedures. A significant emphasis is placed on hands-on clinical experience, allowing students to apply their learning in real-world settings, potentially through rotations at local veterinary clinics and animal shelters. Upon graduation from an AVMA-accredited program, students are eligible to sit for the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE).
