The Veterinary Technology program at Stautzenberger College-Rockford Career College is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become competent and compassionate veterinary technicians. Typically a two-year associate degree program, it provides a strong foundation in animal health, disease prevention, and veterinary medical procedures. Students learn to assist veterinarians in a variety of tasks, including examining animals, collecting samples, administering medications, assisting in surgery, taking radiographs, and providing nursing care. The curriculum blends classroom instruction with hands-on laboratory experience and clinical rotations, giving students ample opportunity to apply their learning in real-world settings.
