The Veterinary Technician program at Central Carolina Community College provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel as vital members of a veterinary healthcare team. This comprehensive program, typically completed in two years, blends classroom instruction with extensive hands-on training in a simulated veterinary environment. Students learn essential techniques in animal nursing, surgical preparation and assisting, radiography, clinical laboratory procedures, dentistry, and pharmacology. Emphasis is placed on compassionate animal care, effective communication, and ethical practices.
