Mendez-Gurabo Campus is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel as integral members of the veterinary healthcare team. This comprehensive program, typically lasting around two years (associate’s degree), provides a strong foundation in animal science, veterinary medicine, and clinical practice. Students can expect to learn essential skills such as animal handling and restraint, diagnostic imaging, surgical preparation and assistance, anesthesia monitoring, laboratory diagnostics, and client communication. The curriculum likely covers a broad range of animal species, including small animals, large animals, and potentially exotic animals. Emphasis is placed on hands-on training, allowing students to apply their knowledge in real-world settings through laboratory sessions and clinical rotations.
