The Veterinary Technology program at Central Technology Center is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become competent and compassionate veterinary technicians. This comprehensive program typically spans two years and offers a blend of classroom instruction, laboratory exercises, and clinical experience. Students learn about animal anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, surgical assisting, radiology, and laboratory diagnostics. A key component of the program is hands-on training in a simulated veterinary clinic setting, allowing students to practice essential skills under the guidance of experienced instructors. Furthermore, externships at local veterinary practices and animal care facilities provide valuable real-world experience. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are prepared to take the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE) and pursue careers as Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) in a variety of settings, including private veterinary practices, animal shelters, research laboratories, and zoological parks.
